I absolutely love how this book read as not only a poem book but also as a soft whimsical story. Each page a stepping store to the next. Can not wait to dive into more work by Sophia!
I thoroughly enjoyed this poetry collection. Some of the big poets are so overrated, this was so refreshing and honest. Definitely worth the price.
The poems in hummingbird work together to tell a very relatable story about love, heartbreak, and starting anew.
The words are beautiful. The cover is beautiful. The illustrations are beautiful. It's all beautiful. Highly recommend for a quick but emotional read!
Usually love these new style short poetry books.. This one bored me to tears and I was done reading it in 20 minutes.
Hummingbird by Sophia was an amazing read for me. It captures the soul of the author and she lets us see the feeling behind each page. As a reader that is always important, i believe for a writer to do. She took a little book but created a world where there is understanding for those hurting and closure for those who need to move on and know that they are not alone with this feeling. For this book, I give it 5/5 stars and I believe that everyone should read it.
